Thanksgiving Week

Chloe has been taking a few steps here and there (her max has been 5 fast steps at one time), but she hasn't really started to walk. So earlier in the week, we decided to get her a pair of shoes to help her out. This is her first pair of shoes. At first, she just kept taking them off but I think she's getting used to them.

The night before Thanksgiving we took Elijah to get a hair cut. It was his first time going somewhere to get one. Normally, Jed's the one who cuts his hair and we're both trying to chase him down the hall and keep him still. Then a few weeks ago, Elijah went with Jed to his barber and since then Elijah has asked everyday to get a haircut. I think this is the perfect solution. He just sat there and never moved. (I think he was uncomfortable with the lady holding scissors next to him) He did such an awesome job! Although, he looked like he was pouting the entire time.

Thanksgiving was so much fun. We had a lot of people that we got to spend the day with. Jed's parents and brother came from Utah, his sister and her family came up from the Bay Area, and my family ate with us also. (Christian we missed you) This was our first Thanksgiving with Jed's family, and it was perfect since this might be our last one in California. It was so much fun being able to see everyone and spend time together. It was actually kind of relaxing, since I didn't have to make everything like I usually do, and I had help cleaning afterwards. This year I had everyone bring a side, so we had TONS of deliciousness going around, even borscht (Russian beat soup) and sushi... mmm! (Thanks so much to everyone who brought something!!)

Elijah had a blast playing with everyone. He especially misses Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Nelson. Since they've left he keeps asking where they went. We told him they went back to Utah, so now he keeps asking to go to Utah.

Elijah wouldn't let me take any pictures of him, so here are some of Chloe.

I'm just so thankful for all of the family and friends we have in our lives and for the wonderful and unique contributions everyone brings. And am thankful to my Heavenly Father for letting me have you all in my life.
