Elijah

Elijah is our fun and energetic 2 year old. He makes us laugh all the time. He is always saying or doing something hilarious. He is Chloe's favorite person. She cracks up the most from Elijah. He is such an amazing older brother too. He loves his sister so much and loves to play with her. He is so smart and just a blast to hang out with. He has fun with everything and is interested in everything. Right now his favorite thing to say is "I do it myself". He's getting so independent. It's so great to see how much he's grown and everything that he's capable of. He's also becoming a little more of a risk taker because of his independence. At the park, he'll jump from the stairs onto the monkey bars and just swing himself. 


A few of his favorite things are cars, trucks, planes, trains, buses, boats, firetrucks (pretty much anything that moves), robots (he's like his dad), Mickey Mouse and Calliou. He loves learning, he has flash cards and asks to "do his homework" (he picked that up from watching Jed do his flashcards for Japanese) and he always wants to read too. He already knows his letters, numbers, shapes, colors and can read a few words. He loves to dance and sing. He does this cute dance and calls it his robot dance or firetruck dance. Right now he's into building blocks (he builds robots and rockets) and building train forts. He has such a great imagination. He loves pretending he's a dinosaur or monster or some other animal. He'll get a couch pillow and put it on his back and "swim" around like a turtle. He has an amazing memory too. He can recall things for weeks, sometimes months, after something happened. This helps with his playtime too. Elijah loves food and anything that goes with it. He's always helping to cook food with us. He loves to crack the eggs and stir everything. 


Elijah keeps us up spiritually too. He always makes us read scriptures with him before he goes to sleep, nap time and bedtime, and he loves saying prayers. He always asks to go to church and go to nursery, and always wants to see the temple. He loves pictures of Jesus. He has a picture of Jesus walking with a little boy that kind of looks like him, so he's always showing us the picture and says Jesus is walking with Elijah.
