Our first official family outing with Ryker (that wasn't to family's) was to the Brigham City Temple open house. It was ridiculously crowded but it was a nice outing. I really wanted to take the opportunity to show the kids the inside of the temple and teach them about why Jed and I go every month. Elijah already loves temples so this was a lot of fun for him. He had learned a few weeks before at church that we wear all white inside of the temple, so he was a little worried about that because he didn't have all white clothes. Both kids loved the baptismal font and getting to see their reflections in the Sealing Room, but when I asked Elijah what was his favorite he kept saying that he loved everything. The temple was his favorite.
I think that going to the temple was almost the perfect first outing with Ryker. (One of the workers commented that we set the record for youngest baby there-1 1/2 weeks...it's because other parents are more responsible haha) It just reminds us of where he just came from and how amazing families are and how special they are. I'm so happy that because of the special temple ordinances, I can have my family for all of eternity.
Because it was so crowded (which we weren't really expecting it to be THAT crowded) Jed didn't want to stay to take pictures so unfortunately these were the only picture I was able to get.
