Fun When Grandma Visits

My mom came to visit during her Spring Break from school. Elijah was literally counting down the days until she came. He was so excited to get to see her again. He always wanted to be with her. It was really nice and a fun break to have her visit for the week.

I tried to look up fun things for us to do, especially since everything around us is still new to us it was fun getting to see what there's to do around town. Here's some of our highlights:

We went to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden and also drove up the canyon a bit after I missed the park entrance. Both kids loved the park.  Chloe loved to roar at the dinosaurs and Elijah loved getting to ride on some of them. His favorite part was the actual park though. It was hard to pry Elijah away at the end of the day.

We took a daily walk behind our house since it was starting to warm up outside.

One benefit of living on an Air Force base is the kids get to see lots of planes

We also went to SLC to have breakfast at Little America and spent the morning in the city. We stopped by the mall (which I didn't realize just opened that week) and Elijah got to play in the fountain. It was all fun until Chloe jumped in and screamed that she was "freezing cold and so chili". After buying him a change of clothes and some more summer clothes, we took the kids to another park to play until lunch.

On my mom's last day I took her shopping and while we were there she liked the sales girl's haircut, so she decided to cut her hair too. How cute is my mom?!

That last night we also went out to dinner with Jed's family.

The kids already miss their grandma.
