World's Largest Corn Maze

One of the best things about October is how many fun things that are to do because of Halloween. There's haunted houses, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, costume parties, yummy baking, and trick-or-treating. Well, this year I found out that Dixon holds the world's record for largest corn maze, so of course we had to go. They weren't kidding! We took Elijah and Chloe along with my little brother and sister who are 9 and 3. Along with holding the world record, they also had a pumpkin patch, tee-pees, mini houses and scarecrows. The kids took off as soon as they saw the tee-pees. After letting them play for awhile we made our way into the corn maze. They gave us a grid map that when you first enter in just looks like gibberish and really hard to figure out, but then you see the markers in the corn and you realize how to actually use the map. Fifteen minutes into the maze the kids started to crack, because this was during their nap time. But they all trooped through it and an hour and half later (after Jed found a short cut to skip a quarter of the maze) we were out, and the kids all had fun. Elijah loved playing in the dirt and corn. They all would run up a little ways and hide in the corn to ambush us like "monsters".
